Bearing

A bearing is the rolling-element assembly at the centre of a spinner that lets the body rotate freely around a fixed axle. Most fidget spinners use a standard 608-size ball bearing — the same size found in skateboard wheels.

Bearing quality is the single biggest driver of spin time and noise. A worn or gritty bearing spins shorter and louder than a fresh one, independent of the body material around it.
