About Fidget India

Fidget India is an independent index of fidget and EDC devices sold in India. The database is the product; guides and lists exist to bring people to it.

The governing rule

A blank field is more honest than a borrowed number.

We publish a measured spec — weight, dimensions, spin time, loudness — only after someone on our side has physically measured the device with a scale, calipers, or a stopwatch. We never fill a measured field from a product listing, a manufacturer page, or an estimate. If we don't have a real measurement, the field is left blank, and the page says so.

That's the entire point of this site. Competing "spec" pages are just reformatted seller claims. Ours are either real or empty.

Who runs this and how it's funded

Fidget India is written by the team behind MakerMesh, an EDC shop selling some of the devices indexed here. That's a direct financial interest, so here's how we handle it:

  • MakerMesh listings appear in the where-to-buy box exactly like any other retailer's — sorted by price, ascending, always. We do not boost, pin, or flag MakerMesh listings as "recommended." If a competitor is cheaper, they show first.
  • MakerMesh is labelled with an "Our shop" pill everywhere it appears, so you always know when you're looking at our own listing.
  • We index devices we don't sell. The database aims to be a complete picture of what's available in India, not a catalogue of our own inventory.

Age rating

Everything indexed here is rated 14+. Several devices use small magnets, which carry a real ingestion hazard — see magnet safety. Nothing on this site is described as a children's toy, regardless of how a listing markets it.

Where we're honest about gaps

As of this writing, we haven't yet physically measured any device in the database — every measured.* field is null. Product images are placeholders rather than hotlinked seller photos, pending our own photography. Two of the retailers we track (Amazon.in, Flipkart) don't yet have real listings wired in. We'd rather show you the gap than paper over it with a guess.
