Pocketability

Pocketability describes how comfortably a device rides in a trouser or jacket pocket over a full day, not just how small it is on a spec sheet.

Three things drive it more than raw dimensions:

• Edges — chamfered or rounded edges carry better than sharp machined corners.
• Thickness — anything under about 10mm disappears in a pocket; past 15mm it starts to print through fabric.
• Weight distribution — a dense device concentrated in a small area feels heavier in the pocket than the same mass spread out.

We rate this qualitatively (measured.pocketability) only after carrying a device ourselves, not from stated dimensions.
